Copyright stuff
===============
This file contains some phrases normally included in software. I don't like
them, but somehow I think they should be included. To make it short:
It is an agreement between you, the enduser and VGA-Software GmbH, pertaining
to the ownership, use, and distribution of VGA-COPY/386. By placing or copying
or installing VGA-COPY/386 onto your computer, you are agreeing to be bound
by the terms of this agreement. If you don't, you are not allowed to use it.
VGA-Software GmbH to you the right to use
* the shareware-version of VGA-COPY/386 on a trial basis
* for as long and often as you desire if you are a registrered user.
For purposes of this section, "use" means loading the software into RAM, as
well as installing the software on a hard disk or other storage device. You
must not reverse engineer, decompile, translate, disassemble, modify, or create
derivative works based upon the software.
This software is owned by VGA-Software GmbH and is protected by international
copyright laws and treaty provisions. You must treat the software just like
any other copyrighted material. You may make copies of the software to give
to other end-users as long as no files originally distributed with the
software are altered or removed.
Disclaimer
==========
Thomas Mönkemeier (thats me !) took eight years of lessons in english
language. That means I have the ability to say what I'm thinking but also
means that I'm no native speaker and will make as much mistakes writing
docfiles like this as you would prohably do if you write german ones. So
take them for your entertainment and don't insist on a correct spelling.
Look at any piece of software for a standard disclaimer. Don't find one ?
So we take this: VGA-COPY/386 is provided as is without warranty of any kind,
express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. You won't be able to
get me responsible for anything anyway. I think that VGA-COPY/386 wil a least
occupie storage-capacity on your harddisk (not too much) and take some time
for execution (as less as possible).
If your pet starves hungry, because you were so fascinated by VGA-COPY/386
that you forget to feed it, don't blame me for that. If you copy a very im-
portant system-disk and replace the necessary boot-sector by the one of the
shareware-version of VGA-COPY/386, I will not be responsible for that.
Don't use this program if you are a beginner. It looks quite easy to use
and indeed its not hard learning how to use it, but be warned that it is
a powerful tool and it is possible to scratch data from disks if you don't
know what you do.
